Getting started

Accept your coach’s invitation, sign in, open your first video and find your way around the analyzer.

On this page

Five minutes take you from your coach’s invitation to your first analysed video. All you need is a computer with Chrome, Edge or Safari 26 (or newer) and a video of yourself playing.

Your training space#

Home puts your current or most recent session first, alongside Your next step and your practice plan. Open a video is always at the top. On a first visit, three short steps explain the workflow; the detailed tool descriptions are under Explore the analysis tools.

To resume a session, use Continue analysis. If the video is no longer available to the browser, Select file and continue asks for the original file. Your analysis stays saved. Canceling the file picker leaves the recovery instructions visible so you can try again. If the video is in your account, Open from your account opens it without the file.

When you’re signed in, your session’s card also says whether its video is uploading to your account or already there, and further down, Videos in your account shows the space they use. See Your sessions on any device.

Your progress appears below. Professional similarity is a style reference, not a skill score. With only one session, this is your starting point, not a trend.

Your training space on a first visit, with the next step and practice plan beside the session.
When you return, your last analysis and practice plan take priority.

What you need#

  • An account. Racketlens is invitation-only: your coach sends you one by email.
  • A computer with a modern browser. Chrome, Edge or Safari 26 or newer. Firefox works too, but frame stepping is less precise.
  • A video of yourself playing. MP4 or MOV straight from your phone, any length. If you haven’t filmed yet, read Recording first.

Step by step#

  1. Accept the invitation. Open your invitation email and its link. It takes you to Create your Racketlens account, where you sign up with the same email you were invited with.
  2. Sign in. On racket-lens.vercel.app press Sign in (top right). Next time the same button says Open the app.
  3. Open a video. On the home screen press Open a video or drop the file anywhere on the window. Multi-gigabyte files open instantly.
  4. Scan your session. A new video opens on the Session tab. Press Scan session and wait a minute or two: you don’t select anything.
  5. See your results. Your score, who you look like and which drills to do appear on the same tab. Everything is kept in your History.
Open a video with the button or by dropping it on the window. It’s analysed on your computer; with your account, it’s also saved to it privately.

The analyzer screen#

When a video is open, the screen has four areas:

  • The top bar. The logo takes you home. Next to it are the player you’re analysing (Players) and History. Then the file name, the switch between Analyze and Compare, the save status, Open (another video), the language (ES / EN), the theme (system, light or dark), your account and the ? help button.
  • The tool rail on the left: draw, measure, mark the ball, turn on the skeleton and save a picture. See Playback and tools.
  • The video in the middle. Under it, the strokes bar: a button for each of your strokes (type and time), with ◀ ▶ to go from one to the next (or the [ and ] keys). The stroke you pick is your stroke for every tool. Then the playback controls and the two timelines.
  • The side panel on the right, with four tabs:
Tab What it’s for
Session Scan the session in one click: score, who you look like, what to work on. Guide
Shots Your strokes and rallies one by one; fix what was recognised wrong. Guide
This stroke Everything about the stroke you picked: Pros (guide), AI coach (guide) and Body (guide). The top says which stroke it is, with ◀ ▶ to change it.
Tools Ball: calibrate the court and measure the ball (guide). Video: your drawings, the video’s details and backups (guide).

At the bottom of each tab there’s a small link to its page in this guide. The first time you open a video, a box shows you these three steps.

Your work saves itself#

Everything you do on a video (the scan, markers, drawings, the calibrated court, AI reviews) is saved automatically, in your browser and in your account. The top bar says Saved to your account.

  • Open the same file again and it all comes back, on this computer or any other where you sign in.
  • On another computer you don’t need the file: when you’re signed in, each video you open uploads to your account, and you open it from Home on any device. See Your sessions on any device.
  • The address bar link says what’s open: the video, the exact moment, the speed and the tab. Reload or share it and it opens the same way. Since the video is a file on your computer, the app asks for permission to read it again with Continue with …, or asks you to pick it again; a video that’s in your account opens from there.

Help inside the app#

Press the ? button in the top bar (or the ? key) for the basic steps, all the keyboard shortcuts, tips for good results and a link to this guide.
